The Gospel Lites began singing in 1972 at the Penderlea Baptist Church, in Penderlea NC. The Gospel Lites toured across NC until 1976. The Gospel Lites reemerged in July of 2006, after 30 years apart. The Gospel Lites are made up of 6 members:
*William Rivenbark-Lead/Tenor, only 17 years old when The Gospel Lites began touring in 1972.
*Joey Rivenbark-Baritone, only 16 years old when The Gospel Lites began touring in 1972.
*Glenn Rogers-Bass, only 17 years old when The Gospel Lites began touring in 1972.
*Shirley Rich-Alto/Pianist, only 15 years old when The Gospel Lites began touring in 1972.
*Ray Donald-Drums, only 17 years old when he joined The Gospel Lites in 1974.
*David Farrior-Bass Guitar and Vocals. David recently joined the Gospel Lites and brings an abundance of musical knowledge to the group.
